About Me
Ever since I can remember, I have always had an insatiable love for creating music. It was always "my thing," but as the years went by, I left my passion behind.
Then BOOM!
Someone very close to me suddenly passed away, COVID rocked our world, and I was punched in the face by the overwhelmingly haunting feeling of my own mortality. I thought, If I were to die tomorrow, would I feel like I'm living to my full potential today?
The answer was "NO"! Why had I stopped making music?
Music used to be everything to me, but over time, playing music didn’t even have a seat at the table. I was too busy with everything else to give it much attention at all. But luckily, all of this gave me a reality check, and now... I’m back!
Ever since I can remember, I’ve had songs running through my head. As a kid, I spent a lot of my time playing drums and by the age of 12, I started playing live in nightclubs, and in high school, my band recorded a 10-song tape that I sold in the hallways at school (we had tapes back then). After high school, there wasn't a day that I wasn't playing live music in a band. It was my thing and it all came to a pinnacle moment when I found myself performing in front of 20,000 people at Madison Square Garden at the age of 24. Then it all stopped. The band I was on tour with was dropped by their label. Touring life was over. Time to leave it all behind and go be normal.
Looking back, I can easily see that I was just tired of being a broke musician. I was ready to start the next phase of my life, and sadly, I was jaded by the entire journey, so I turned my back on music. The dream was over. The months turned to years, which turned to decades. Sure, I played here and there with different bands; I even went out on a national tour with some old friends when they called me to fill in for their drummer. But I never allowed myself to fully enjoy it. In my mind, it was just a dead end and a waste of time, so I didn’t bother playing much or getting too involved.
Fast forward to today: a few years into the G5000 musical journey, I have my own home studio, and I play music almost every day. I’m collaborating with friends (old and new) and helping develop the next generation of musicians. Most importantly, I’m having fun and enjoying the process of creating music again.
I hope my story resonates with you and inspires you to never stop chasing your dreams.

Word on the street...
“I originally met Greg (aka: G5000) at a Grammy event at London Bridge Studios in Seattle. We hit it off right away. A few months after our original meeting, he offered me an opportunity to be featured on one of his upcoming singles and I agreed. I have worked with many award winning producers and artists throughout my career and I can say that he was by far one of the easiest to communicate and collaborate with. He followed through with everything that he promised. Collaborating with him was a pleasure and I would highly recommend working with him!”
